Incorporate Haitian Tradition and culture as part of your postpartum self and spiritual care. This is a Haitian Healing Bath to be used after childbirth to promote healing in the body, restoration of muscles + energy cleansing. Herbal blend is also used for alleviate muscle pain. This blend may be used after an abortion and/or miscarriage.

Known as the “3 Bain” this traditional practice incorporates the use of herbs to facilitate the bodies natural self healing abilities. The new mother takes three baths in a hot bath made from special leaves. This helps to constrict internal muscles and promotes cleanliness.

Mothers are encouraged to take the bath for 3 days and may choose from the following timelines which suit her schedule:

1. 3 days in a row (M, T, W)

2. Every other day for 3 days (M, W, F)

3. One day a week for 3 weeks post birth/termination

This practice has been influenced by the Edouard and Regisme family from Marchand Dessalines, Haiti.

Herbal blend contains the Haitian herbal leaf Papaya, Haitian Maskreti, Haitian Corossol, Haitian Ti Baum, Haitian Mango, Avocado and Eucalyptus. A tea is also made from these leaves which she must drink for the three days post birth.
